Al Ardie is an independent Egyptian artist, songwriter and producer. His name, الأرضي in Arabic, means “the Earthling”: someone from planet Earth. Free from a fixed genre or formula, he treats each release as its own story, moving between Egyptian Arabic and English, and between sounds, as the song requires.

His single LAMBO sets a poem by Abdel Rahman El-Abnoudi, one of the defining voices of Egyptian colloquial poetry, to new music, with music, performance and production by Al Ardie. It is accompanied by an official music video.

His catalogue also includes the Egyptian Arabic songs في الشارع (Fi El Share3, “In the Street”) and عرفتي ازاي (3refti Ezay, “How Did You Know?”), and the English-language Cat on the Run. The lyrics to every song are published on his official website.
